TV Presenting at Pinewood Studios

Just had a great day on the TV Training Academy presenter course at Pinewood Studios, expertly hosted by Simon Davis.  Very informative, good hands on experience of autocue, filling and co presenting.  The Showreel is on my homepage.  Highly recommended.

Zipwire in Snowdonia

Went to sunny North Wales for the full Zipwire experience with my brother, Godson and niece.  Cool 4 parrallel zipwires across an old slate quarry meant we could race each other down each of the 3 runs.  Managed to get some good footage and photos.  We then went on something called Bounce Below.  Bizzarre.  Giant trampolines and slides inside one of the galleries in the mine.  Very strange.

Bus Driving at North Weald

I have just had the most bizzare experience at North Weald Airodrome.  I got a Bus driving experience for my birthday which involved driving a Routemaster and a Bendy Bus around a course on the airfield.  Great fun slaloming the Routemaster, hit a few cones, but the Bendy Bus is the most bizarre thing I've ever driven.  18 metres long, put your foot down and nothing seems to happen until suddenly you are doing 45mph.  I had a go at seeing how fast it would corner.... didn't knock any cones over though which seems a record.

Just Back from the Le Mans 24 Hour Race

I won a competition run by Pistonheads where I had to describe my best drive.  All very last minute but worth it.  One of the best races for years, the lead changed 4 times in the final 2 hours.  Thanks to Nathan at Pistonheads for choosing me, Fiona at Shell for looking after me and Gwenn and Gideon at Eurosport for their very generous hospitality.  I have to thank Eurosport again for letting me loose live in the commentary box for a session at 6 on the Saturday evening, the commentary team held my hand throughout.  Thanks again.

Bittersweet

I have just finished filming a short film directed by Rime Frost where I play the Father.  It is a personal tale of a clash of cultures and a woman being true to herself.  This is my first role with an accent, and judging by the reaction I got from Rime and her sister when I said 'Go to your room' in one scene and they both froze, it was authentic.  Great cast and crew and looking forward to seeing the end result.  The film will be shown at the BFI in June.

Sky Movies Disney Ident

2014 Has started on a positive note with my december 2013 audition for Sky Disney's Anniversary Idents translating into a brilliant shoot which should air in March.  Many thanks to Claire, Bernie, Anna and all on the shoot.  Here's are some pictures with Josh just before we went to serenade some spagetti eating dogs.
